The Sweed Accu-matic will dramatically increase dryer production by keeping a consistent flow of veneer available for dryer feeding. Hot spots and small dryer fires are virtually eliminated because of the consistent flow of veneer through the dryer. As the Giant Hoist is delivering the last few inches of veneer to the dryer feeder, the arms of the Accu-matic roll under the remaining veneer and hold it in position where the operator or Econo-Vac can continue to lift and direct the pieces of veneer into the feeder. The hoist automatically lowers and receives new wet units. Then the new units rise up and under the remnant of the processing unit and become part of the processing stack when the support arms withdraw. When incorporated into a three-shift dryer operation, the Accu-matic can easily pay for itself in four to six months.
