CA5000 Smart Shear

Tough Versatile Automated Shear.

The CA5000 Smart Shear is an impressive and durable shear and cut-to-length machine. The hydraulically driven feedworks and wide infeed funnel on this unit make it one of SWEED’s easiest machines to feed. It performs exceptionally while cutting through heavy-duty steel and other various tough materials to user specified lengths. The CA5000 has proven to be the one of SWEED’s most innovative and automated solutions for processing tough scrap materials.

Construction Features

SWEED systems offer robust designs and seamless integration capabilities that optimize scrap reduction through innovative technology. This results in maximum scrap compaction, simplified system maintenance, and durable construction.

Our History

It all started with an imported gang saw. After WWII, three brothers from Germany migrated to the United States and built a sawmill on Galls Creek in Gold Hill, Oregon. Dissatisfied with the imported gang saw they were using, they decided they could make a better saw themselves.
