Master Cam Programmer
We are currently seeking to fill a full-time position in our shop for an experienced Master Cam Programmer. The right candidate will be a motivated and energetic team player with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and is eager and willing to contribute their knowledge base and skill set to our ever-growing line of innovative machinery. Must be reliable and be able to pass a pre-employment drug and health screening.
Master Cam 2018. Proficient on Multi-axis Lathes, 3 and 4-axis Milling machines.
Sigmanest programming helpful (nesting flat patter work).
Document the entire set-up information and tool list for use of manufacturing of parts.
Write instruction sheets and cutter lists to guide set-up and operation of the machine.
Knowledge in set-up of CNC Mills and Lathes.
Strong understanding of blueprint reading / geometric tolerance interpretation.
Knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures.
Provide support for fixture design as required.
Optimize the existing programs.
Possess a thorough understanding of the quality control procedures.
Provide shop floor support for the life of the program.
Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
5 years of related experience in the use of manufacturing programming systems and CNC equipment, both programming and operation.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Experience and understanding in using shop inspection tools including: micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc
Ability to read and understand mechanical machine drawings
Knowledge and experience in machining work, CNC mills and lathes, and manual mills and lathes.
Must be a good communicator to work and converse with Supervisor on fixturing and prototypes.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision while meeting all product quality requirements.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in an effective way.
Be able to work in a drug free environment.
Must pass a pre-employment drug and health screening, as well as random drug tests.
This position requires membership in the Machinist Union
