Model 517

The Sweed Model 517 is the heavyweight performer of choice for plants that process large volumes of banding up to 2” in width or for operations converting substantial quantities of linear material. Prepared for abusive environments, this unit has a strong 1/2” plate steel housing. The 517 has a magnetic starter workers from an unexpected restart after loss of power. The air-activated feedworks is controlled with a foot switch for operator safety.

How it Works

Just introduce the material (banding) into the infeed funnel. The feedworks (pinch rolls) will then grab the material and pull it into the rotating knife path. The feedworks will continue to pull at a rate of 90 FPM until the material is consumed or the operator releases the feedworks via the release lever.
