Recycling Sales consists of coordinating the equipment and systems sales and services provided by Sweed, with an emphasis on cultivating strategic partnerships through an enhanced customer experience.

The systems sales representative will be responsible for new business development, obtaining new customer contacts, plant visits, quoting and developing proposals, customer relationship management, market analysis, contributing to marketing lead generation, project management and more.

• Establish quarterly and annual goals and objectives based on generating customer contacts and revenue growth
• Develop strategic plan to support and promote goals and objectives, update quarterly
• Manage daily systems leads efficiently to maximize time accordingly
• Actively develop and cultivate relationships with existing and prospective strategic partners within the recycling industry
• Identify prospective new customers through market analysis; including basic research, tradeshows and sales trips
• Strategically plan and execute sales trips in North America
• Travel within United States and Canada for site visits and sales
• Contribute to company promotional and marketing activities to generate leads for the sales process
• Work closely with Sales Director and Engineering for program and project support

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Must be 21 years of age and have a valid driver license and safe driving record
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours when on the road, including sales trips and tradeshows
• Strong selling and negotiation skills
• Outstanding customer service skills, including problem-solving and troubleshooting
• Ability to cultivate and manage strategic customer relationships
• Mechanical and/or engineering aptitude

Compensation will include a base salary with commission and be determined by qualifications. Travel costs and expenses are paid by Sweed for all sales related activities. Sweed also offers a profit sharing program, with eligibility beginning after working the entirety of a single quarter. A comprehensive benefits package including health and dental become available as well after on the first of the month following the completion of 30 days employment.

Sweed Machinery is a globally established manufacturing company located in beautiful Southern Oregon. We are currently seeking to fill a full-time SAWYER / GENERAL LABORER position in our manufacturing facility. The right candidate will have a strong work ethic, have a positive attitude, and be willing to contribute to our growing line of machinery. Must be reliable and be able to work in a drug free environment, including passing a pre-employment drug and health screening.

• Saw various raw metal materials to size per cut list.
• Clean and organize parts and material.

• Proficiently reads a tape measure
• Empties all scrap bins.
• Receives material into shop and unloads delivery trucks.
• Checks stock for orders and notifies Manager of any shortages.

• This position is required to wear safety glasses, gloves, boots, and ear protection.

• Basic computer skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to read a tape measure and calipers
• Be able to work in a drug free environment.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug and health screening, as well as random drug tests.
• This position requires membership in the Machinist Union upon successful completion of probationary period of (up to) 90 days.
